< My form, 10A. Well, most of. The middle line of us consists of James, Pottsy, Me, Alys, Jack and 'Let's 'ave a Rave' Dave. >
Right. I only just found this site by looking at my friend Ella's Blogger blog, and I thought it would be a good thing to do / time waster and and, if anything, a productive way of voicing things.
So, I figured the first post should kinda be an introduction, no?
Ok, so my name is Joel Hughes, I'm 15 and at the moment I live in a small town in North Wales called Acrefair with my Mum and a slightly smaller town next to Acrefair called Trevor with my Dad. To be completely honest, I have a killer family. I'm at most times very thankful for them. I also have an 9 year old little brother called Sam, and twin little brother and sister called Ollie and Megan, who are both 2, though they are Sam and I's half brother and sister. My Dad got re-married with Isy, our step-mum, last year.
My life is pretty complicated to be fair, but I've kind of settled into it and it's various routines, which adds to the tolerance. It's when I don't quite know what's happening that I get annoyed.
As far as friends go, I like to think that when I was given them, God liked me at the time. Ergo, my friends are amazing. But they have to be, because I put a lot of faith into them. I do have a lot though, so I won't mention them all, but a select few deserve a vote.
My best mate ever is Luke Maybury. He, quite seriously, is the nicest and most caring boy I have ever met, and I owe him a lot. We're not in the same form in school you see. We both go to Ysgol Dinas Bran in Llangollen ( Probably the only town in North Wales you'll have remotely heard of. It is the home of the international musical eisteddfod ) And we're both in year 10, but I'm in form 10A and he's in form 10N. Due to this and the fact that he took all different options, we hardly see each other. His Mum is one of the dinner ladies in school though, so I see him every morning in the canteen for a juice and a cheese on toast.
My best girl-friend ( Female friend ) is Alys. She is so very, very cool. She is probably my closest friend too. I tell her absolutely everything, from family problems to girl problems and everything else in between. There have been times where she's either helped me when nobody else would/can and vice versa, which have brought us closer. She's also a bit rum, a side of her that I like because it helps me live a little too.
Other notable people in my life: Charlii, James, Pottsy, Aaron, Roman, Jack, Caitty, Harry, Danny, Frazer...A lot more too, but they are so great that the least that they deserved is to have their name printed on a blogging site.
The third huge part of my life is music. It influences my views and mannerisms in a way that is so subtle and instantaneous it amazes me. For instance, I listen to my iPod every day. No joke. And say I'm walking along the street with a group of my friends, and Gallows come on shuffle playlist or something like that, I will be all jumpy and hyper. Don't ask me why...It's really wierd. and if Louis Armstrong comes on, I will smile like a beast. My favourite bands are, in a slight order; Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails and Gorillaz. I like an eclectic mix of music; people get slightly freaked when they look at the artist list on my iPod, having seen 'Some geezer called Miley Davis or summut' and 'Slipknot? Go slit yer wrists, goth!'. I also play the drums; some people say that I do it quite well. When I know my way around this blog thang i'll try and put some videos of me playing up. My hero & Idol for drumming is Joey Castillo, of Queens of the Stone Age, but also has played with Eagles of Death Metal, Danzig and a few more. Hence the screen name, I am Joel Hughes, not Joel Castillo. That 's just me not reading stuff properly.
Well that's me, in a nutshell. Well, no, this is me in a nutshell: 'Help! I'm in a bloody great nutshell! What kind of shell has a nut this big! It's ridiculous!'
I'm sorry, I just love the Austin Powers trilogy.
Christ, I don't know if anybody got this far with out dying of starvation, but, if you did; cheers, well done and if you liked it, I will attempt another in the near future. That sounded very gay, and go eat, please.
Speak soon. :D
